Mark came to UCL in 1996 to study for a Masters on the GGIS course at Photogrammetry & Surveying. On completion of the course in September 1997, he joined CASA to run the DETR's town centres project. He then went onto work on the VR Centre project looking at pedestrian modelling. He is currently working on Stage 2 of the DETR's town centre project.
Mark's background is geography and property. He read geography at Girton College Cambridge with emphasis on urban and cultural geography. After graduating, he worked at Property Market Analysis (PMA) for nearly four years, prior to deciding to further his career by training as a GIS specialist at UCL. Research Interests include Town centre modelling and crowd modelling.
