Before running a simulation on Loures River watershed, MODCHEIAS was tested in a small test-watershed with 16 elements, trying to reproduce on it the topographic diversity that can occur in a real watershed.
In this kind of watershed, it is easier to interpretate the behaviour of the model and in this way, it constitutes a valuable help on the understanding of the results of Loures river watershed simulations, where the scale turns difficult to follow the simulations and take conclusions.

From this watershed, wich reproduces a very simple hill, it were created three more watersheds, introducing some complications on the topography, wich are interested to analyse. In the images above it is represented (from left to right) the original simple watershed, another one with an horizontal region, another with a horizontal region and a pit point, and finally another with an horizontal region and two pit points.
