Why
an Estate Development Committee?
We want
to ensure that residents are properly involved in the decision
making that will affect the homes that they currently live
in and the future of the estate. There will be issues and
decisions that will affect localised areas of the estate and
wider, more far reaching matters that will affect the overall
plan (link to be added).
We propose
to form local steering groups in consultation areas as soon
as the future successful tenderer has identified the first
area for development. We see a growing role for local steering
groups as the regeneration progresses.
What is
required for the present is a central steering group for the
whole of the Woodberry Down Estates that will be able to input
to:
- The
process of selecting a partner
- The
quality of life test as part of the option appraisal
- The
tenants' expectations document.
- The
Development Planning Brief
