I am a Lecturer in Human Geography at the Department of Geography, University College London (UCL), where I am associated with the research group on Mobility, Identity and Security (through the Migration Research Unit) and the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA). I have recently joined the academic staff after completing an ESRC post-doctoral research fellowship (2007-08).

For further details about my academic profile see my official webpage at UCL Geography

This is a general personal webpage where I list various projects in which I work and items of my interest

My research interests lie within Population and Urban Geography and my work focuses on investigating new ontologies and geographic visualisations of ethnicity, migration and mobility in contemporary cities. I am developing innovative and multidisciplinary methods to analyse socioeconomic inequalities at neighbourhood level, with a view to informing public policy. My recent work has focused on residential segregation, categorisations of ethnicity, the geography of names, and the spatial analysis of populations and neighbourhoods in the UK, Spain, US and Mexico. You can read more about my work under the publications section.
