RT3 accelerometer

RT3 is an activity monitor which detects and records 3-Axis motion. This unit measures the amount of energy expended during the periods of activity and rest by computing caloric energy necessary to accomplish motion.

In CAPABLE project, children are fitted with RT3 around their waist as well as GPS equipment on their wrist. The data obtained from these two devices are used in conjunction with Activity diary to build a picture of children's spatial movement and activity.
