In this project, two types of questionnaire are used.

Pupil questionnaire is designed to gain information about the children's usual journey to/from school and their plays. Information on children's perceptions of the local environment is also obtained.

Parent Questionnaire is designed to understand the attitudes of parents towards children's mobility as well as the composition of children's households.

The questonnaire surveys completed by the children and their parents are being analysed to try to establish the factors that influence the extent to which children are allowed to go out unaccompanied by an adult, and the barriers that need to be overcome.
